L.A. Cools Off With White Arrows At FILTER x Burton's Rooftop Pool Party

With temperatures absolutely sizzling and all land mammals in the L.A. area seeking shade, preferably near a body of water in which to dip, it's a good thing FILTER and Burton decided to host a little rooftop pool shindig on Saturday. Down the Melrose strip atop the Burton L.A. flagship store, suntanning bikini babes and skater/surfer dudes chilled out on the AstroTurf while drinking surprisingly thirst-quenching PBR and doing their damnedest not to burn. The afternoon was further infused with summer vibes thanks to a live set from local psychedelic indie rockers White Arrows, plus DJ sets from Good Night Keaton and Midnight Surfer to round out the day. Better still, the Saturday pool party fun provided by Burton and FILTER supported a very worthy cause, with all proceeds from the event benefiting Chill, an organization that helps at-risk youth through board sports instruction and programs. Between last month's LA Canvas pool party, the grand opening of S.K.A.M. Saturdays at the Drai's rooftop pool, Peligroso's Cinco fiesta at Tropicana, and Saturday's FILTER x Burton rooftop chill sesh, we've been loving these previews of the fruitful pool party season ahead and can't wait til it's in full swing.
