An eclectic mix of Angelenos and familiar faces like Aziz Ansari, Alia Shawkat, Amanda Demme and Lykke Li stepped out for the exclusive first look at the exhibition which offers viewers a new glimpse into the life of cultural icons on the cusp of worldwide fame. The
Found collection features a strikingly young looking Jagger, Keith Richards, Brian Jones, Charlie Watts, Bill Wyman and founding member/road manager Ian Stewart on their first tour in the U.S. in 1964. Whoever the unnamed photographer is clearly had the kind of access a band generally reserves for close friends as the images capture some truly intimate moments of the early Stones on the road horsing around and just chilling at a hotel pool with beer and cigarettes. How these photos were only just discovered nearly half a century later and where they even came from remains a mystery, but now that they're
Found, you should definitely make the schelp to DTLA to check them out in person.
Found is on display at
Dilettante now through October 26th. Keep clicking through the slideshow for more photos of last night's opening reception (it was a good one).
