Slide #2
In Nobody Walks, which she co-wrote with Ry Russo-Young, Dunham shifts her setting from the Big Apple to Los Angeles with the story of 23-year-old Martine (Thirlby), an aspiring art filmmaker who takes up residency in the pool house of a wealthy family's Silver Lake home. I can think of three fellow Angelenos I know whose real life sounds like Martine's so it appears she may have hit it out of the park with this one again. The film doesn't hit theaters until October 19th so we can't know for sure if it accurately captures the vibe and nuances of our hometown as well as Dunham does with Manhattan (and even Williamsburg) but we'll just have to wait and see. In the meantime, please enjoy these photos from Tuesday's Nobody Walks premiere.
