McLovin and Nic Cage Come Out For The Premiere Of "Kick-Ass"

[All photos by Andreas Branch for PMc] Last night, an assortment of stars turned out for the premiere of Kick-Ass at Hollywood's Arclight Cinerama Dome.  The film, which has been hyped a lot in the last few weeks stars Clark Duke, Nicolas Cage, and Christopher Mintz-Plasse (a.k.a. McLovin). At the premiere of the film, which does not hit theaters until Friday, crowds of fans gathered around the red carpet dressed in the costumes of the film's characters.  After all, it is an adaption of a comic, which depicts what would happen if people tried to be superheros, so it makes sense that it would draw the comic-con sort of enthusiasm from fans.

We're curious if Mintz-Plasse will be able to dodge the typecast curse and shake his McLovin identity with Kick-Ass.  That's a tough one, though. Will you actually be able to  buy him as another character on screen without seeing him as McLovin? We'll have to wait and see.
