As one of its bi-monthly events, new roommate matching service Meet, Mingle, Move threw its June Rooftop Mixer last night at the 1600 Vine building, just a stone's throw away from the heart of Hollywood nightlife. Mixers such as last night's bring together like-minded individuals on the market for a roommate or new living situation in a social setting where they can mingle and get to know one another in hopes of making a connection. At last night's event, these roommate-seeking Angelenos were able to hang out and enjoy sipping on cocktails and munching on light appetizers and see if they could find themselves their perfect living match. June Rooftop Mixer guests were also given a community tour of the building featuring Apt2B’s designer home furnishings and exclusive offers from AT&T U-Verse while making new friends and perhaps discovering some simpatico pairings.
On a personal level, a brilliant service such as Meet, Mingle, Move would definitely have saved me a couple of tears and a whole lot of stress during the hassle of finding an apartment and roommate when moving from Sweden to NYC three years ago.
