Slide #1
LGBT non-profit advocacy group Christopher Street West has organized the event since the first parade-goers marched down Hollywood Boulevard in 1970 (the festival moved to Santa Monica Boulevard in 1979) to commemorate the one-year anniversary of the Stonewall Riots. Molly Ringwald was at the helm as Grand Marshall for the parade this year, which capped off a weekend full of celebrations that included musical performances on six stages in WeHo (with Lil' Kim as headliner?!), an Astroturf water park, and dozens of booths set up by artists and activists selling crafts to promote the cause.
