L.A. has another reason to get naked in public tomorrow with the opening of the Third Street Promenade Desigual store. The Spanish apparel brand is celebrating their new Santa Monica outpost with an opening day Undie Party where they'll be giving away store merch, and you're invited. But in the spirit of tradition, the dress code is strictly underwear-only.

Yes, it seems public nudity season is in full-swing here, so check your hangups at the door and enjoy a free show starring the beautiful bodies of your fellow Angelenos. In stark contrast to the 'no shoes, no shirt, no service' rule at most establishments and public functions, the admittance policy for the Undie Party at Desigual tomorrow (August 30th) on the Promenade is undies, and only undies. As they did for their stores in Barcelona and NYC, the first 100 people to arrive at Desigual in Santa Monica for the event will have the store to themselves for one hour where they'll have their pick of a full two-piece ensemble consisting of any top, and any bottom they like on the racks, including the brand new autumn/winter 2011 "Dream" collection.

The store opens at 9am but based on previous Undie Parties, Desigual suggests attendees start lining up at 7am if they want to be one of the first 100. In the event that you get in line and don't make it inside for the one-hour shopping spree, you won't have stood on the Promenade in your underwear for nothing—everyone else in line beyond the first 100 guests will receive a 50% discount on all purchases tomorrow.
