Only from Jacob. He’s a South Bay guy. We actually went to the same college. El Camino Community College. Two weeks. My teachers said that they would drop me if I had to leave and I was right about to shoot Spy Kids 4… I guess I’ll just have to wait for a TV show where I can be a college student and live it up.
[On his Spy Kids character] Juni Cortez would be super sly. He’d just be under the radar I think. Juni Cortez is a solitary man, but he can make friends. I think he’d just keep to himself, probably read a lot.
Through Leslie Flowers, what I loved about him, what he taught me, is just to be unapologetic and love himself, and I kind of think Leslie is a new modern man.
