The Downtown L.A. Art Walk got injected with an extra dose of cool last night with the help of Nike and alternative hip-hop duo, J*DaVeY.

When the Nike Destroyer Art Exhibit was added to the roster for the Art Walk, it brought along a very Los Angeles-loving vibe. The swoosh brand incorporated their hip sporty style into the art world with their Nike Destroyer Art Exhibit, highlighting the L.A. team members Mowii Madonna, Chauntal Lewis, and Casey Veggies.

What is an L.A destroyer? Lewis wrote on her blog,

"We destroy to create. It's overcoming any adversity life may throw at you; destroying weakness to flourish strength."

The Los Angeles natives were picked to represent the city of angels and the Nike brand because they choose an active, artistic and inspiring lifestyle- and, of course, love L.A. As if the exhibit needed more to make it a memorable addition to the Art Walk, J*DaVeY performed a live set to top off all the hometown pride that filled the night.
