Friday night, the generally quiet, laid-back Santa Monica-Malibu coastline got a bit more excitement than we're used to seeing in that part of town. And we're into it. Things took a turn for the funky at the new weekly Sunset Fridays thowdown at Gladstone's in conjunction with charity project, To Japan With Love.
For this particular occasion, the Friday night party exercised its humanitarian side by teaming up with To Japan With Love, a fundraising initiative that invites guests to send messages of hope with the help of a photo-booth to the victims of the disaster in Japan. The messages not only extend love and support, but will also be included in an art exhibition to raise Japan relief funds.
Guests who came out evidently ran with this concept and partied like, well... let's just say if we didn't know better, we'd assume a frat was at least partially responsible. Except here, upping your BAC to a healthy 0.12% and getting freaky on the dance floor (not that there's anything wrong with that and pretty much sums up our weekends!) was all for a greater cause. See, mom, raging can be a selfless act.
