The Oldest BBQ In Texas
There are some things Texas isn't great at, like producing competent Presidential candidates. But there are other things they absolutely dominate at, like importing German power forwards, and also slow-smoking delicious BBQ meat. Unfortunately, we don't know how you can get Dirk Nowitzki to come to your Valentine's Day celebration, but we do know how to get the barbeque: just order it from Southside Market, which has been churning out mouth-watering sausages, meats and sauces from Elgin, TX since 1882. Imagine the look on your special someone's face when "The Legend": a package of 8 lbs of slow smoked brisket, a rack of pork ribs, 5 lbs of smoked sausage, 2 whole chickens, 4 pork steaks, and two big bottles of Southside sauce (hot and BBQ) show up at the front door. Oh, and if you find yourself in Elgin, the Southside Market website invites you to bring in any animals you kill during a hunting trip for "complete processing to your exact specifications." Like we said, it's Texas. "The Legend," $158.95, Southside Market Website
