The Red Lion Tavern

Open since 1959, The Red Lion Tavern is L.A.'s oldest "gasthaus", or tavern, and beer garden. This Silver Lake landmark has multiple floors, including one with a slightly quieter, more restaurant-like atmosphere, while other rooms and a legendary beer garden boast a rowdier, crowd-friendly scene. Lederhosen-clad waitresses serve patrons an impressive selection of draft beers and German schnapps, plus motherland-inspired dishes like the famous sausage platter and potato pancakes. Although
its Facebook page declares it's Oktoberfest 365 days a year at the Red Lion, they are offering
a menu of specials in honor of the Bavarian celebration which you can check out
HERE.
