Just because "Art In The Streets" at MOCA is a wrap doesn't mean your street art appreciation outings have to end. With the opening of LAB ART Los Angeles this spring, there are plenty of opportunities to check out some of the freshest alternative art and installation on the street art scene, like last night's launch party for the new Desire Obtain Cherish solo exhibition.

As the nation's largest gallery dedicated to street art, LAB ART puts L.A. at the forefront of the alternative art sphere and gives locals a unique place to check out works of both rising and established talents working in the field. For these reasons, LAB ART was the perfect spot for Desire Obtain Cherish to debut his first solo exhibition. To celebrate the showcase of the local street art star's first one-man show, last night the gallery invited friends and fans out for a first look at the 30 DOC pieces on display with an exhibition launch party.

Guests enjoyed DOC's tongue-in-cheek spin on re-appropriated iconography as they swilled drinks and got to engage face-to-face with the man of the hour. The DOC exhibition at LAB Art opens to the public today and runs through September 14 so make sure to stop by the La Brea gallery and take a peek.
