I'll sleep when I'm dead! Tonight, Basel is going to be a whirlwind of parties. The virtual who's who of art, fashion, and the international night scene are here to make the rounds in Miami to see and be seen. All in the name of art, of course, ahem.
Left for the NY based BOFFO party at The Lords South Beach Hotel. We ran into Requiem for a Dream producer, Stefan Simchowitz (a self proclaimed "people collector"), stylist/blogger Dani Arellano, NYC Nightlife personality Lady Fag just made an entrance adorned in a Gaultier circa Madonna "Like a Virgin" inspired ensemble ("Faultier" she calls it), "Black Diamond King" Azature Pogosian, entertainer HUNX, Michelle Harper, Cator Sparks, and other recognizable fashionistas are present for the affair. Things are starting to die down, heading over to Andre Saraiva's annual Miami nightlife mecca: Le Baron. Feels very Studio 54; as long as your cheek bones are high enough, entry is no problem despite being "strictly guest list only." Our posse of PYTs (none of whom are on the "list") are quickly ushered in amongst a sea of hopeful party goers.
The Daily Beast's Isabel Wilkinson is here, so is the ever notorious and crunk Simon Rex aka Dirt Nasty, along with hoards of famous art world big shots you've never heard of. Everyone is decadently partying the night away while DJ Mia Moretti keeps the beats and vibes flowing.
