Wednesdays: there's usually not a lot to like about them, unless you're a really big fan of "Survivor" or something. But this week, it's actually pretty awesome, because The Golden State, one of our favorite burger joints (and beer bars) in the city, turns three years old today, and they're celebrating with an insane deal.
In honor of their three years of serving up burgers and brews to the L.A. market, The Golden State is offering their perfectly cooked, California-sourced burgers (usually $11) for just $3. I'm not that good at math, but I'm pretty sure that's, like, 70% off or something. And even better, you can put that money you saved to immediate good use, because Golden State is also celebrating their special day by tapping some of the rarest, most interesting kegs they've been saving for just such a special occasion, including a 2010 La Folie from New Belgium and an Old Blarneywine aged in Heaven Hills barrels.
So check it out, tell them we sent you, and while you're at it, revisit our list of top local burger joints that don't rhyme with "Blather's Bloffice" in "Not Your Father's Office: 5 Other Great L.A. Hamburgers."
