Whereas the Pop edition focused on honoring the writers, producers and performers of the nation's most popular pop songs, Thursday was all about the music that elevates our favorite film and television shows. Composing god John Williams (oh, no big deal, just Star Wars, ET, Indiana Jones, Jurassic Park, to name a few) took home some hardware for his work on Tintin and War Horse, and Rolfe Kent got the top honor, the prestigious BMI Richard Kirk Award for "significant contributions to the realm of film and television music" for a body of work that spans from Sideways and Wedding Crashers to the theme for "Dexter".
