Other Details: Ester Dean (who wrote Katy Perry's "Firework") , Benny Blanco ("Teenage Dream" and Taio Cruz's "Dynamite") and Pitbull ("DJ Got Us Fallin' In Love") shared the BMI Pop Songwriter Of The Year Award at this music industry institution aimed at recognizing the often in-the-background producers and songwriters of smash hits as much as the performers. But at the end of the day, it was trash-pop sensation Ke$ha who stole the show just by not dressing, for once, like the bottom of Keith Richards' shoe. Legendary Jack Nicholson compatriot/music producer/
bizarre dresser Lou Adler also cleaned up a bit, sporting a relatively regular tux (though hanging on, of course, to the sunglasses and beret). Carole King was another big winner, taking home the lifetime achievement award.
