Interview with Allison Janney:
GofG: So, you're on the TV show "Mom." When you look at it on paper it's pretty heavy stuff, but it's a comedy. It's lighthearted. How does that work?
Allison Janney: It's funny, because when I first read some of the episodes that were dealing with things like cancer and teen pregnancy I was like, "Really? We're gonna go here?" And I thought "How is this gonna be funny?" I got really nervous. Then when we read it it somehow made sense, and everyone laughed. Nobody is making fun of anything. It's funny and real, and I just attribute it to Chuck Lorre's genius. He know show to write; I certainly wouldn't know how to write a funny scene about cancer, and I wouldn't even attempt to. The fact that I can act it, I just look at the script and the words that he's given us. I just play the reality of it. That's the way you get through any challenge in life, is to have a sense of humor about it. You got to laugh.

Interview with David & Jessica Oyelowo:
GofG: Do you mind if we talk about how you two met? Is that a story we're allowed to go to?
David Oyelowo: Yes, absolutely. Go for it, Mrs. O.
Jessica Oyelowo: We were teenagers in National Youth Music Theatre in England, doing Brecht's The Threepenny Opera. He fancied me the moment he saw me.
DO: Okay, now we have to revise the story. Look at me! I mean, seriously. How could you say that? She was a puddle of unadulterated desire when she saw me.
JO: Two years later, after keeping him at bay, we ended up almost going from friends to engaged pretty much quickly because we knew each other so well.
DO: She finally admitted what she had been trying to keep a lid on for so long.
JO: We were very young, but it was one of those "when you know, you know" moments. I was 19 and he was 21 when we got engaged, and 20 and 22 when we got married. About to celebrate our 16th wedding anniversary!

Interview with Dania Ramirez:
GofG: You play some seriously badass female characters. Do you see yourself as a badass?
Dania Ramirez: I'm very strong-willed at heart, and I was born in the Dominican Republic. I grew up with very little money, climbing trees, jumping from roof to roof. I went to college and I played volleyball, so there's a part of me that's this sporty/tomboy kind of girl. I really enjoy being a badass. But there's also a feminine soft side to me, so I kind of enjoy playing both sides of the field.
