Peek Inside Paul & Andre Hollywood At Last Night's Soft Opening

We're genuinely excited about this one. Last week we broke the news that two of NYC nightlife's purveyors of cool were making their way out to Hollywood and have been eagerly awaiting the arrival of Paul Sevigny and Andre Saraiva's spot since we first heard whispers of an L.A. opening. Although not yet open to the public (doorman "Calvin" says we're looking at an official opening next week), last night Paul & Andre opened its doors to begin its six-month occupation of a Hollywood loft to a handful of guests for a first look inside the place.

Understated, especially for this town, seems to be the general philosophy behind the club with no street address. It shares an entrance with the new Dim Mak Studios in the grimy alley off of Cosmo Street behind Vice (just south of Hollywood Blvd) barely illuminated by a single dark red light bulb. The interior matches its entry, as a barely furnished, mostly empty space inside that may or may not get some additional furnishings. In an interview, Andre described the club to us saying it would be "like let’s smoke cigarettes and get naked." Don't think anyone got naked last night but there were plenty of cigs. Hopefully the naked part comes when it officially opens for business.

Among those who did not get naked at Paul & Andre last night were Samantha Ronson, Olivier Zahm, Audrey Marnay, Dalia Ermann, Alexandre de Betak, Francisca Vidues, Annabelle Dexter-Jones, Alexis Dahan, Z Berg, Kate Mulleavy, Ellen von Unwerth, Aaron Bondaroff, Guinevere van Seenus, Maggie Kayne and of course Paul and Andre.

We'll keep you posted on that official opening and if we hear anything more on their getting naked policy.
