Los Angeles' fashion reputation isn't the best, but thanks to events like the Refinery 29 and Madewell's "Jeans Journey" it has its moments. Thursday night, our favorite bi-coastal fashion blog, teamed up with the clothing brand to create a style haven safe from booty shorts, Uggs, and bedazzled t-shirts.
For the special event, Refinery29 joined forces with Madewell and transformed the Century City flagship store into a true shopping oasis. The big Jeans Journey party featured music, a bloody mary bar, and snacks to go along with great shopping deals. Refinery29 editors were there to point out their top picks and give shoppers the chance to get them for less. Zinzi Edmundson and The Kisses dropped all the right tunes while trendy guests toasted to great shopping and fresh wardrobes.
There's definitely hope for L.A. to improve its status in the fashion world one style-conscious event at a time if designers and experts take cues from Refinery29 and Madewell's formula.
