Led by the delicate and airy vocals of Hope Sandoval tied in with the fuzzy guitar of David Roback, 90s alternative rock duo Mazzy Star returns after a seven year hiatus. But don't worry, the same 1960s inspired gentle psychedelia is still alive with their newest album Seasons Of Your Day. The first song "In the Kingdom" opens with a piano organ, followed by recognizable folksy guitar strums. Sandoval begins the first verse and carries through the album with her usual soft enchantment, pulling one into a deep and hazy, melancholic reverie.
