Brian Jamestown Massacre and Federale joined forces at The Music Box Thursday night in a performance that eerily awakened memories of a rock superstars in their hay day. Lead singer for Brian Jameston Massacre, Anton Newcombe, hypnotized the neo-psychadelic crowd with his renditions from their latest album "Who Killed Sgt. Pepper."  Especially anticipated were their latest hits from 2009 "Smoking Acid" and "One."

The band of San Franciscan's sure make their hippie hometown proud, as their music and lyrics evoke drug enduced trips and experiences from their yesteryear.  These seasoned musicians spread the love and wealth associated with their fans by exposing somewhat of a newcomer to the scene, Federale.

The two bands gave their nu-gaze enthusiast audience a night of gritty entertainment, raucous renditions, and vicious vocals that gave them just enough noise-pop for a quick flashback to the shoegaze of the 80s and 90s.
