Primus at The Greek Theatre
There's plenty of good shows going on tonight (Lil Kim in Agoura Hills, anyone?), but 12-year old me would never forgive myself if this wasn't the top pick. And despite the fact that a lot of people probably know Primus primarily as the band from the "South Park" theme song, it would be doing them (and their legions of fans) a great disservice to write them off as a novelty given their immense musical talent and always hilariously fun bass-driven jams that despite their frequent use of feedback and dissonance never feel overly harsh or grating. They hit the Greek Theatre in support of their latest album Green Naugahyde, and best of all? They're backed up by local favorites Fishbone. The Greek's never been so weird.
