Mark Sultan at Detroit BarMark Sultan has had a long, colorful career as a Montreal-based garage musician, playing in such rebellious and infamous live bands as Powersquat, The Spaceshits, and Los Sexareenos. And while their live shows were often better known for their short duration, food fights and violent endings than for the tunes themselves, Sultan is a gifted songwriter and performer whose more recent work with King Khan, Bloodshot Bill and others rings of all the familiar influences: The Clash, The Beach Boys, Sex Pistols and others, and we mean that in the best possible way. he plays with the Allah Las, who are fresh off a successful stand at the VICE party at Coachella. Note: originally scheduled for Club Alex's in Long Beach, this show has been moved to Detroit Bar in Costa Mesa. [Details] [via]
