Hammer Bash @ Hammer Museum
It's a little bit of a stretch to call this one a "concert," per se, but it's just too interesting not to let you all in on it. As part of the Nine Lives: Visionary Artists From L.A. exhibition at the Hammer, artist/musician Llyn Foulkes will be performing his one-man ban act, The Machine, featuring the behemoth you see in the photo, a Machine made up of 30+ instruments including horns, organs, bass, drums, xylophones and more, all with live painting accompaniment from performance painter Norton Wisdom. There will also be DJ music from KCRW's much beloved Jeremy Sole and Jason Bentley. All for free, of course.
