"Summerland" @ The GreekHere at "Go See A Show," we try to keep our novelty concert suggestions to a minimum: after all, you only have so many nights a week to go out, and as hilarious as the thought of seeing Meat Loaf at the Wiltern might be, your $50 ticket might seem less amusing as he launches into a 25 minute version of "I Would Do Anything For Love" and you realize you have work the next day. All of that having been said, the lineup for the late-90's nostalgia-tastic "Summerland" tour, which features Sugar Ray, Everclear, The Gin Blossoms, Lit, and Marcy Playground, is just too insane to ignore. Even if those bands stick only to their number one singles, you have a full evening on your hands of feel-good summer songs you know all the words to (whether you'd care to admit it or not). No, you probably won't be playing any of these bands for your children, but before history forgets them entirely, why not sit under the stars in Hollywood and sing along to "Sex & Candy" one last time?
