Twin Shadow at Fonda Theatre
[via] George Lewis Jr. is back touring his latest album, Confess, which delves into the heart and mind of this pragmatic Brooklyn-based indie performer. Based on regrets, loss, and an examination of relationships, the album breaks through challenging life issues and resolves to find an optimistic and profound backbone. Inspired by a moment while riding his vintage motorcycle, the artist had an epiphany: as his bike lunged toward 105 MPH, all he could think was "Ton up. My mind is filled with words. My heart is filled with love." This moment would later become the inspiration for his so-called Ton Up tour. So expect to see an unfiltered and raw Twin Shadow performance, that of course will get you into the sway. [Details]
Snoop Dogg with Kendrick Lamar at Staples Center

Part of the BET Experience at L.A. Live, Snoop Dogg and Kendrick Lamar will be hitting up the stage for a packed house of fans Saturday. The three-day BET Experience includes comedy shows, several concerts, live filmings of BET shows like "106 & Park" and the BET Awards, which have made the Staples Center their new home. Snoop Dogg, err, Lion, whatever he's going by these days, will take to the stage along with hip-hop sensation Kendrick Lamar. Having both west coast rappers on the same stage in their home town will definitely have the crowd dropping it like it's hot. [Details] [via]
