Mondrian Sessions Presents ChairliftWhere: Skybar at the Mondrian Hotel Why: Well, first and foremost, it's free. Secondly, Chairlift has this kind of haunting yet cute vibe going on (apparently their original raison d'etre was to make background music for haunted houses). More than that, their sound is making some waves in a fair amount of the music community. Chairlift has ties to Acrylics, Flosstradamus, Holy Ghost!, and Das Racist, and have an album coming out in a few weeks through Young Turks—the same label as The XX and SBTRKT. And if that's not enough to sway you to see them tonight perhaps the video for their newest single, "Amanaemonesia" might. A little ridiculous. A lot addictive. [RSVP and More Info] [Photo via]
