[All photos by Timothy Norris for LAWeekly.com] On Saturday night, one of the best-selling bands from across the pond played one of two completely sold-out shows in Los Angeles's The Music Box. Did you find yourself submerged in a wave of hipster angst, swaying to the sounds of The XX?
The three-piece London band, who have been met with universal acclaim for their debut album, "XX," treated their fans to a veritable light show over the weekend. The giant light-beams definitely complemented their rather intimate music so that songs like "Crystalized" and "Fantasy" were felt by each and every one of the thousands of fans in attendance.
Much like fellow Brits of Radiohead, whose concerts which are nearly impossible to get into, the futuristic sounds of the XX attracted a couple of famous faces, like quasi famous David J, and actress Fairuza Balk.
