City Sourced
While the typical love/hate relationship with L.A. has more to do with traffic and lack of acceptable pizza than it does with crime and graffiti, it kinda goes without saying that we have our fair share of those kind of problems too. And living in a city as big as this, it's not uncommon to feel like your concerns as a taxpayer aren't reaching the right people. That's the genius behind City Sourced, a civic engagement app that lets smartphone users document everything from potholes and leaky hydrants to gang graffiti, using your smartphone's camera and GPS to instantly transmit documentation of the problem to the city, with the location attached. You an also use the app to view other citizen's reports and relevant local news, in case you feel like dressing up as Batman and fixing these problems before the city can (note: do not do this).
