You're Invited: A+D Museum "CELEBRATE: GROUNDSWELL" 2014 Gala!

The Architecture + Design Museum (A+D)— a.k.a. the ONLY museum in the country wholly dedicated to the exhibition of progressive architecture—will celebrate its 13th year on June 28th, 2014 with its annual gala. This year, the soirée is titled "CELEBRATE: GROUNDSWELL," and the theme gives a big nod to the inspiring beach communities of So Cal that are such a defining staple to the region.

The event will feature a runway show (with O'Neill-clad models wearing SICKY Eyewear!) of custom-made surf / boogie / skate board designs by top architects and designers such as Karim Rashid, Richard Meier, Steven Ehrlich, David Hertz (surfboard seen here), Gensler, Don Chadwick, Karten:Design, Warner Bros. Studios, Minarc, RCHS, Ogassian partnering with Ann Sacks and many more!------------------------------- -------------------------------------------------- Also, enjoy a premier sun n’ surf-themed silent auction (the likes of which feature Warhol, Koons, Baldessari, l.a. Eyeworks, etc.), KCRW DJ Raul Campos, live artist Gregory Adamson (his painting will be auctioned), open bar (Asahi Beer, Tito's Vodka), and a sampling of Southern California cuisine, as well as the return of last year’s emcee, actor Boise Thomas. ------------------------------------------ And, seeing as Malibu and surfing go hand in hand, we think it's pretty fitting that Malibu-based Madison Hildebrand, Luxury Realtor on Bravo TV's "Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles", will join the fun as a special guest.
