Can you tell us about your new lifestyle products and collaborations?
Each of our collaborations was inspired by excellent craftsmanship and design; we wanted to work with brands that hand-make their products and take great pride in the quality--sort of like two art forms coming together.
Translating my images into repeating patterns [for home decor products] was a time consuming process but it paid off greatly in our collaboration with Boston-based ceramist, Jill Rosenwald.
The wallpaper collaboration stemmed from the idea of surrounding yourself in a moment and truly living within a photograph.
Almond's surfboards are hand-crafted, hand-shaped and hand-painted. With my photographs glassed in, the artistic level of each board extends beyond a sport but a piece of art that is able to hang in the home as a stand-out sculptural piece.
