You Should Know: Rose Apodaca

by Christie Grimm · March 17, 2016

As a big shot editor at WWD and W, Rose was right at the center of everything fashionable and new in Los Angeles. Her personal style and eagle eye for emerging global cool was coveted and copied, so, as any smart style-ite would, she opened Los Angeles’ best design store/think space A+R with her partner Andy Griffith. A new, revamped, major A+R is coming soon. Stay tuned. In addition to visiting the shop, check out one of the number books Apodaca has written. Her latest is a 400-page tome with Dita Von Teese, published by Harper Collins, called “Your Beauty Mark; The Ultimate Guide to Eccentric Glamour.”

What was your first job? Age 9, shopkeeper in my mom’s art store and babysitting cousins… had chemin de fers to buy!
