Woman Gets Stabbed At Art Basel, People Think It's Art

Have you ever seen a more Art Basel-y headline about Art Basel? Of course not. On Friday night, during peak mingling and chin-stroking hours at the fair, two women apparently got into an argument which led to an X-ACTO knife in the neck. Ouch. Thankfully the victim is going to be OK (if not terrified of art fairs for the rest of her life), but the more disturbing thing about this story is the reaction of fellow attendees.

According to reports and witnesses, many visitors calmly sipped their bubbly while police taped off the area and paramedics wheeled the victim out. All that blood and stuff? Probably just really lame performance art. I mean, how passé.
