Despite its reputation as an overwhelmingly male-dominated industry, the tech scene has been steadily adding more women to its ranks over the years. But that doesn't mean non-male workers are getting great treatment across the board. Female talent will be looking to places like Arlington, Virginia, which was recently named the best city for women in tech, with a smaller pay gap between male counterparts and a higher income compared to other budding cities. Currently, women make up 33.5% of the area's tech workforce, but we're sure to see that number rising with Amazon's new HQ in the works.
