Drake speaks with GQ

1. Drake speaks with GQ about battles of the heart, fame, and the future of rapping. It's no secret that Drake is one of the most emotional hip-hop artists in the industry. In the interview, he opens up, disclosing these emotions that make him the man so many fancy. He says his best music is made when he feels "small." He says,
"My girlfriend at the time, if she was mad at me, my day was all fucked up. I didn't have anything else. And that made for some of the best music, I think, to date. Records where I felt small. ... It's really difficult for me to find something that makes me feel small."
For him, fame has treated him well (having a password protected bedroom); however, it's clear he's longing for that special someone, saying,
If I don't want you next to me in that fifteen, twenty seconds, then there's something wrong."
When speaking about rap and it's future, he says,
"Rap now is just being young and fly and having your shit together. The mood of rap has changed... Some of my favorite rappers, some of my heroes—DJ Screw, Aaliyah—there might be like 200 pictures of them because there was no Internet. Whereas with us, it's like every moment is documented."
