A Mary-Kate & Ashley Museum Might Actually Happen

Is this heaven? Matt Harkins and Viviana Olen, two Brookyln based comedians, have launched a Kickstarter campaign to bring an exhibition that is basically a shrine to the two goddesses that are Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen to the THNK1994 Museum. Their exhibit The Olsen Twins Hiding From The Paparazzi, if everything goes as planned, will show for just two weeks in April.

Harkins and Olen were inspired by Mary-Kate's recent marriage to the former President of France's brother, Oliver Sarkozy, in which their reception was reported as having bowls and bowls of cigarettes. We mean, that was a party we wish we could have been invited to despite the extensive dry cleaning bill afterwards. So the Brookyln duo, who have curated previous exhibits revolving around celebrities, will feature the painting series by Chicago based artist Laura Collin entitled The Olsen Twins Hiding From the Paparazzi, which explores how “using a patented system of approximately 700 lbs of beautiful clothes, strategically high collars, face sized bags, and tiny house sized sunglasses, the Olsens are able to hide themselves from unwanted photographers.”

Harkins and Olen are looking to raise $9,500 to fund the project, so if you are like us and have already marked this exhibition in your day book, help contribute to this very important cause here. Get a sneak peak of their video below!
