The philanthropically minded gift boutique Alex & Sam and Parenting Magazine joined forces for a marquee children's event benefiting the Fund for Public Schools with Citibabes at the family membership club's SoHo location. With snacks and games, mommies, daddies and babies enjoyed a sing-along with Laurie Berkner and appearance by the Today Show's Amy Robach. There were also readings, workshops and many goodies to browse. Parents and friends were free to shop, since the children were distracted, eyes wide, by the biggest playroom they had ever seen. The fundraiser really up'ed the ante for family fun day, leaving many a mother and father frantically trying to come up with something for this weekend.
