All Dressed Up With Nowhere To Go: Marissa Grossman

Who isn't absolutely, completely, hopelessly desperate for an excuse to get dressed up these days? 

Marissa Grossman (a.k.a. Fashion Ambitionist) is next up in our Dress Your Best challenge, and we are all about her uber chic, white on white on white, WFH look. It's almost like she should design clothes or something...

What are you wearing?
A month ago, I launched my own brand called AMBITIONIST. The launch collection is comprised of timeless bodysuits. Here, I'm wearing the Ambitionist Everyday Classic Long Sleeve Bodysuit in White— paired with a Target Trucker Jacket. Sunglasses are from the new Cynthia Rowley and Zenni collab. Pants are old G. Label (here’s a newer version) — and because we’re in quarantine, no shoes required for this look! Earrings are Shop Machette. Necklace is a few pieces from Jade Trau.

Where are you riding out the storm?
Florida.

How have you been staying sane?
I’ve been doing so much to stay sane. Most importantly — I find one hour each day to work out. This has been crucial to my mental health. Beyond my blog and new clothing line taking up a ton of my time — my full time job as Head of Brand Partnerships at Editorialist YX keeps me incredible busy/sane. My days consist of plenty of Zoom Calls with clients and coworkers. When Shop Ambitionist isn’t completely consuming my “after hours” life… I turn to different activities to keep me creative. Like everyone else, you can find my tie dying weekly or making incredible pasta dishes!

What's one little luxury of normal life you miss the most?
Couldn’t be possible to just pick one! I miss my Peloton Bike, seeing my brothers and going out for delicious meals.

What's the most fabulous thing you've done in quarantine so far?
The most fabulous thing I’ve done during quarantine is launch ShopAmbitonist!!!! I’ve been working on this for 2 years… and to launch during this time was less than ideal. I spent the past two years perfecting the fit of each bodysuit. The mission of Shop Ambitionist is to lead the way to a more beautiful, successful and stylish life through comfort and quality. Your clothes should be comfortable — and every woman needs the perfect bodysuit to wear, everywhere. 

The first collection — which I call “The Uniform” consists of 4 timeless bodysuit styles in 2 color ways. These are bodysuits you’ll wear now and treasure forever. I feel lucky to have seen great success with launch (we’re sold out of a few pieces!)… and have had incredible customer feedback. The most fabulous part of the launch is that my bodysuits are making my customers feel fabulous while they are at home. Many have sent me pictures of themselves wearing their bodysuits with sweatpants… or even getting dressed up for an at home date night with their significant other.
