Just yesterday, adding to the influx of 2018 reminiscent posts, Amanda Hearst let drop that she and boyfriend-turned-fiancé Joachim Rønning are engaged! Declaring that "the best thing I did in 2018 was say yes. 🤗💍 #engaged@joachimronning" Amanda showed off her beautiful new rock oceanside while on vacation in the Maldives.

But just who exactly is this Joachim fellow, and is he worthy of the heiress / ethical fashion queen / animal cruelty fighter / perfect blonde? First off, he's a looker himself, which certainly does not hurt. Second, the Norway native is a film director who co-owns one of Scandinavia's largest production companies for commercials, so, he's paying his bills. Third, he's taken her to the French Riviera, London, the Maldives, and god knows where else, so really, we see no reason not to bless this union.
