Name: Gogy Esparza Medium: Photo, video, found objects About: A couple of years ago Gogy Esparza made a splash with his series El Vacio, which he debuted at the Comme des Garcons Black Shop in Berlin. The exhibit was a modern reinterpretation of Salvador Dali's Los Meninas, shot entirely on a Blackberry. Since then Gogy has had solo shows in New York, and has led prominent group shows with his contemporaries focusing on urban perspective, New York nostalgia, as well as a sense of disillusionment as to how he feels represented in the current culture.
