Jeff Koons has, by now, become a household name, due in part to his legendary status in the art world, and because of a little collaboration with someone you may have heard of—Lady Gaga, anyone? Even after 30 years of groundbreaking work, he's never had a major museum presentation...until now. This month, the Whitney Museum of American Art will exhibit an extensive survey of the artist's work, from 1978 to today. Besides the long overdue nature of the retrospective, it's also kind of a big deal since it marks the last exhibition at the Whitney's current location before it moves to the Meatpacking District in 2015.
When: June 27 - October 29
Where:
Whitney Museum of American Art, 945 Madison Ave
