Opening: The Beacon
From stormy seas to the guiding light home, "The Beacon" at Salomon Contemporary features works that focus on natural disasters and their aftermath. Artists include John Gordon Gauld, Alexis Rockman, Spencer Tunick, Lawrence Weiner, and more.
By happenstance, the building's elevator is out of service due to Hurricane Sandy, so the gallery recommends taking the entrance--and elevator-- at 508 West 26th Street.
