Young Sam Kim, A World In The City IV
Vivid, surreal, and most definitely magical, Young Sam Kim's own world in the city is one we wish we could visit for ourselves. Diagnosed with an auditory verbal impairment early in his youth, the South Korean-born artist learned he could best channel his thoughts and emotions through photography—and since we can't actually get inside of his mind, appreciating his images is the next best thing. Kim digitally manipulates his snapshots, superimposing them upon one another in order to create hyper-realist scenes of urban life.
