True Groove Label Launch
What is "Global Soul?" Well, imagine one giant party across Pangea, a potluck of peace and appreciation of humanity. Imagine the sound of people from all walks of life coming together and loving their similarities but also their differences. Imagine the coalescence of voices, instruments, tunes, and techniques into one thumping sound alive with spirit.
That's "Global Soul," and it's what NYC musician Tomas Doncker has captured with his new record label True Groove, set to launch Monday, September 9 at The Blue Note. The live performance event will also see the multi-CD release of four of the label's artists, including Doncker's own band, as well as Marla Mase, Kevin Jenkins, and Lael Summer.
