Last week, Jamie Grimstad hosted a private Pajama Party for the soft launch of Beautytap, a Korean skincare and beauty marketplace, in NYC. The ultimate “girls night,” the event was intimate, cozy, and full of masking. The star of the show was a personally curated touch-up bar, which featured some of Beautytap’s best-selling brands including COSRX, SanDaWha, Sulwhasoo, and Laneige, for guests to touch, feel, and try on. If not testing out products, Jamie’s guests were chatting about their beauty routines, catching up, or indulging in the blue-and-pink themed candy bar. The crowd favorites were mini champagne bottles, sheet masks, and of course the Grimstads’ sweet papillon dogs that joined towards the end of the evening.

The theme for the evening was #tapwithin, a campaign that Beautytap is getting ready to launch, to encourage young women to engage in a discussion about what inner beauty means to them. At the end of the day, beauty is about having both a healthy glow and a healthy mind — Beautytap’s motto is, after all, “Tap into your beauty, inside and out.”

The guests included editors from Teen Vogue, Cosmopolitan, and College Fashionista, as well as a collection of NYC-based influencers and models like Bianca Valle, Cheyenne Adler, Youme Lynn, Laura Hanson Sims, and Puck Loomans (to name a few). For many, this was the first time learning about K-Beauty as well as the unique ingredients (like snail mucin, Centella Asiatica extract and honey) that Korean beauty products have to offer.

Beautytap is both an online store and a brick-and-mortar retail store, as well as a K-beauty pop-up experience that travels globally, sharing the wisdom of beauty as skincare regimen experts. This holiday season, they checked their list twice and decided that all of their customers deserve a special self-care treat to close the year out right.
