The first Monday in May is quickly approaching, and for A-listers and fashionistas that could only mean one thing: The Met Gala! With a red carpet that stretches for what seems like miles and about a thousand-and-one flashbulbs going off at any given second, celebrity attendees obviously need to look their best. So how do they prep for fashion's biggest night? It all starts with skin.
This week, Natura Bissé (the event's official beauty sponsor), has been treating VIP guests to an exclusive Met Gala facial at The Mark Hotel in New York. In keeping with this year's theme, "Manus x Machina: Fashion in an Age of Technology," the treatment is as futuristic as beauty can get, with a "Bubble" of pure air, wrinkle-fighting tuning wand, and a chromo-rejuvenating LED mask. That's a lot of skincare science right there. With noted fans of the brand including everyone from Beyoncé and Kim Kardashian to Gwyneth Paltrow, we're sure plenty of the most recognized faces at the Met will be stopping into The Mark first. If we were you, we'd pull up a beach chair and perch in the lobby, waiting for the stars to roll in.
