Russell Brand's new movie "Arthur" with Helen Mirren, Jennifer Garner, and Greta Gerwig premiered last night at the legendary Ziegfeld Theater. The stars hit the carpet then headed to The Harvard Club to celebrate. Take a look!
[Robin Williams, Russell Brand, Billy Crystal]
[Jennifer Garner, Jason Winer]
The film is a remake of the 1981 Dudley Moore flick of the same name. It focuses on Arthur, a childish man with an alcohol problem and tons of money. But he's funny and charismatic and generous, which makes him lovable and the character you root for when it comes to choosing to love the poor girl instead of agreeing to an arranged marriage and keeping his inheritance. The major difference between the old version and its new incarnation is the original butler role has been changed to that of a nanny, played by Helen Mirren, imbuing a sweet mother son dynamic. The critics haven't been to kind, but I liked it and I found it really funny. Then again, I am a sucker for both Russell Brand and Greta Gerwig.
