"Best 2K I Ever Spent!" It's Sitcom Time At Webster Hall
What did you do this weekend? We watched two full days of syndicated sitcoms on a bigscreen television. It was realer than real. The kids at Webster Hall spent their time partying, but we still detect a frisson of sitcom-ness about them.
It's a gender-bending Friends. Except without Phoebe, because no one really cares about Phoebe anyway.
Blossom and Six from Blossom are all growed up and slightly Sapphic.
It's that episode of 30 Rock where Jack Donaghy tries to do a giant fireworks telecast. Although here it looks like Jack Donaghy has great thighs and glossy hair.
Those sassy kids from Saved by the Bell are always hanging out in the booths at The Max and giggling.
We're not sure which show this is, but this girl's hot. Thus, by the rules of the sitcom universe, she has an overweight, muffin-faced husband.
Laura from Family Matters is at the school dance . . . which means this is the episode that begins Steve Urkel's hellish takeover of television history. Look closely - Urkel is somewhere in the crowd.
Joey and Jesse from Full House share an intense embrace. In the background: Bob Saget, extremely jealous but acting nonchalant.
Jesse Spano from Saved by the Bell is so excited! She's so scared!
A very special episode of Step by Step. Suzanne Somers is going to pop up and talk to the kids about love.
And finally, the sitcom theme song gets a revamp.
