Gotham Hall was lit to perfection for world-renowned lighting designer Bentley Meeker, who has dazzled the Museum of Modern Art, The New York Public Library, and set the mood for Chelsea Clinton and Marc Mezvinsky's wedding, book launch Tuesday night. Light X Design: 20 Years of Lighting showcases Meeker's glamorous illuminations that range from simple private affairs to elaborate public celebrations. This was elaborate!
Meeker has created beautiful settings at Museum of Modern Art, The New York Public Library, and The Roseland Ballroom. He's set the mood at weddings for Chelsea Clinton and Marc Mezvinsky, Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta Jones, and many others. Meeker even illuminated the Kanye West performance at 55 Wall Street. Maybe a reason why Kanye loves of "All of the Lights"? Hmmm.
Guests, including R. Couri Hay, Patricia Field, Michelle Gerber Klein, Cassandra Seidenfeld, and Jay McInerney, poured in to support the lighting visionary and the the launch of his first book!
